Abstract

The success of a company is highly dependent on the performance contribution of its employees through the behavior of the extra work roles performed. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of reward, job satisfaction, and work motivation in shaping organizational citizenship behavior in employees of companies in the financial sector in Karawang, West Java. Respondent data was collected from 190 employees in the manufacturing sector who work as staff or operators through a questionnaire distributed using Google Form. Furthermore, the responses from the respondents were tested for validity and reliability using Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results of this study show that rewards contribute significantly to increasing job satisfaction, work motivation and organizational citizenship behavior as well as job satisfaction and work motivation mediate the influence of rewards in shaping the behavior of extra staff work roles or operators in manufacturing companies. Factors such as the establishment and implementation of a fair compensation system, employee job satisfaction, and increased employee motivation to do their jobs play an important role in shaping extra work role behavior. Therefore, companies need to understand the factors that affect the formation of extra work role behavior, because this condition not only forms employee loyalty to the company but also has an impact on increasing the company's profits.
