The phenomenon of job hopping is increasingly common among high school graduates working in the food and beverage (F&B) sector. Job characteristics that require physical readiness, a fast work rhythm, and limited career development opportunities encourage workers to not stay long in one workplace. This study aims to examine the factors influencing job hopping behavior among high school graduates in the F&B industry using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework. The study was conducted using a qualitative approach through phenomenological methods. Subjects were selected using purposive sampling, namely high school graduates working in the F&B industry and having experience changing jobs. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations, then analyzed using NVivo 12 software. The results show that job hopping behavior is influenced by attitudes toward behavior, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control. These findings indicate that job hopping decisions are the result of an interaction between personal and social factors and are expected to contribute to the development of work psychology studies and human resource management practices.
